Boschera Frizzante

Boschera Frizzante by Cantina Winkler is a sparkling natural white wine made from the rare Boschera grapes. This wine undergoes natural bottle fermentation, resulting in a cloudy appearance and a low alcohol content. The grapes are sourced from Sylvoz-trained vines, growing on clay-rich soils in the flatlands around Cappella Maggiore, Treviso. The residual yeasts in the bottle enhance the wine's rustic and authentic character.

Tasting Notes:
Boschera Frizzante features a pale yellow, cloudy hue. The nose reveals refreshing aromas of citrus, green apple, and wildflowers. On the palate, it is lively and invigorating, with a fine mousse, a soft acidity, and a hint of minerality. It's an excellent choice as an aperitif or paired with light dishes such as salads, shellfish, or seafood.

Vinification:
The wine is spontaneously fermented without temperature control and aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks. In the spring, it undergoes natural bottle fermentation, which gives the wine its effervescence.

About the Region and Winery:
The vineyards are located in Cappella Maggiore, a scenic area in the Veneto region, at the foothills of the Bosco del Cansiglio. Situated at approximately 100 meters above sea level, the vineyard has been certified organic since 2017. Cantina Winkler, founded by Alessandro in 2012, combines traditional and sustainable practices with a focus on biodiversity. The grapes are harvested manually, and sheep assist in naturally maintaining the vineyard. Alessandro's winemaking philosophy is to create clean, vertical wines with minimal intervention and low sulfite levels, offering a fresh and easy-drinking experience.
